Ten gravity cores from the Barents Sea have been profield with the X-rayinspection system (XRI) and logged for P-wave velocity, bulk density andmagnetic susceptibility using multi sensor core logger (MSCL). Sediment coreswere opened after these non-destructive analyses, sedimentologically describedand undrained shear strenght was measured on selected intervals. The cores weresubsampled for determining water content, wet density, dry density andgrain-size characteristics.
