dc.description.abstractThis study intends to elucidate the evolution of the Mid-Norwegian margin, with emphasis on the last c. 3 milion years when the Naust Formation was deposited. The main objective has been to improve the knowledge of offshore depositional sequences through time. Emphasis has been given to improve the understanding of large-scale depositional systems, and to link this information to areas where risk analyses have been performed based on detailed investigations.\rThe main results are presented in Executive Summary and in Summary & Conclusions.
