Grunnvannsundersøkelser på Høggåsmoen, Stjørdal kommune
Abstract
Norges geologiske undersøkelse har på forespørsel fra Stjørdal kommune utført grunnvannsundersøkelser på Høggåsmoen i Forradal for å vurdere ny vannkilde til Moen vannverk. Vannverket, som har et vannbehov på ca. 0,6l\/s, tar i dag vann fra elva Forra. På østsiden av en stor sand- og grusavsetning på Høggåsmoen er det registrert flere kildeutslag. Formålet med grunnvannsundersøkelsene var i første omgang å utrede om disse kildeutslagene var egnet som vannkilde til Moen vannverk. Grunnvannsforholdene i avsetningen er undersøkt med feltbefaring, kartlegging, prøvetaking av kilder, georadarmålinger og undersøkelsesboringer. Undersøkelsene har vist at det er muligheter for grunnvannsuttak både fra en gravd brønn ved et kildeutslag og fra en rørbrønn. Uttak fra en rørbrønn krever pumpe og fremføring av strøm. Fordelen med en rørbrønn er at man får et dypere inntak som gir en mer stabil vannmengde og en bedre beskyttelse mot eventuelle forurensninger. Etablering av et grunnvannsuttak basert på en kilde blir trolig billigere, både med hensyn til utbygging og drift, men uttaket blir mer utsatt for eventuelle forurensinger og kan kreve en mer omfattende områdesikring. Rapporten omhandler også en grov kartlegging av sand- og grusressurser i tilknytning til eksisterende massetak på Høggåsmoen.
