Sammendrag
In this little pamphlet are given some results obtained on Norwegian clays. The work, which was undertaken by \"Statens Raastofkomite\", commenced in 1922. The clays have been examined systematically, and the methods used are the same as those used in similar investigations in Sweden and Finland. This was done in order to obtain results which could be compared with the results obtained for clays in the above mentioned countries. Pages 2-4 give a short account of the different methods used in our research work on clays in this country. A list of books and authors, from which the methods were obtained, is given. The chapter finishes with a short note with regard to the future prospects of the work on clays by this committee. Pages 5-9 give the result of the examinations of moisture in clays, at the \"normalconsistens\", which is determined as the content of water necessary to give the clay such a property, that it can be rolled into a ball between the hands without any clay sticking to the skin. In these pages is also given a description of the method by which the clay was brought to the \"normalconsistens\". In tables I-IV are given the results obtained for \"normalconsistens\" of clays from different parts of Norway.
