Abstract
The occurrence of Actinoceroid cephalopods (Ormoceras(?) sp.), brachipods (Orthis ss.), and trilobites (Ptychopyge sp.) in a crystalline limestone overlying bluish quartizite on Hardangervidda indicates that Orthoceras Limestone of the Lower Ordovician Asaphus Series (Etage 3c) is present. The underlying quartzites are correlated with stage 3a-3b in the Oslo Region.
