IV. Ramsøy titanjernmalmfelt i Solør og dets differentiations- processer
Abstract
Forkortet: The present paper deals with a deposit of titaniferrous iron ore in the province of Solør, in southeastern Norway, and its formation through differentition processes. The treatise may be naturally divided into two parts. The first deals with the general features, history of mining, economical and technical conditions etc., and is supposed to be mostly of local interest. In the second part is given a description of the geology of the field, and a more general discussion of the differentiation processes in basic eruptives, and at last tried to determine approximatively the \"ternary gabbroidal eutectic\", as introduced by J.H.L.Vogt. As this part is supposed to be of more general interest a more thorough account of it is given in this summary, while the matters of the first part are only lightly touched upon. The geology and petrography of the present field are treated so detailed, because several feat ures are different from the ordinary magnetic segregations of iron ore in gabbroidal rocks. In the first place the mother rock is more acis and comes much nearer up to the composition of the diorites, than is usual in this sort of deposits.
