dc.description.abstractThe mineralogical distribution of gold in quartz-sulphide ores has been addressed by detailed reflected light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and EDS semi-quantitative microanalysis to investigate why gold recoveries are lower than expected. The majority of gold in these samples is present as gold- rich electrum disseminated within quarts.
