Abstract

Forkortet: The sheet of our maps, named Lillehammer, sketched on pag. 18 is the southern continuation of the sheet \"Gausdal\" surveyed by Mr. Bjørlykke (at the southernmost border together with the present author). From Ringsaker, in the south-eastern corner of the map, Mr. Brøgger communi- cated a section in Geol.f\u00F6r. i Stockholm f\u00F6rh. B. VI pag. 143, of which the author alters the northern part, as shown on pag. 14. Having found the continuation of the strata mentioned in the former paper, the author has traced the limestone in Mr. Bjørlykkes section pag. 8 almost without interruption to the border of Mjøsen, where it is well known of older date as the Birid limestone. In the south-western part of his map he has found a Silurian series with fossils of our groups 1b, 1c, 2c, 3ay, 3c , and 3 cy. The last, the famous orthoceras-limestone is in the northern part of the region almost not recognisable, being developed as small limestone-concretions in argillaceous schists.
