dc.description.abstract	Some observations of quaternary deposits in Lakselvdalen, Finnmark: Glacial striae and erratics show that the ice has moved from south to north. Ground moraine, dead ice moraine, marine and glacial-fluvial deposits occur. Terraces are formed in the marine deposits at 5 to 70 m above sea level. In the glacial fluvial deposits two terraces are found, 75 and 85 meter above sea level. The occurrence of dead ice moraine and several kettel holes in the highest terraces show that the ice was \"dead\" when it melted away from this area.
