Forkortet: The high mountain region round the Suldal lake to the NE of Stavanger in Southeastern Norway forms a continuation of the region described by Bjørlykke, Rekstad and Reusch in the \"Aarbog\" (Yearbook) of 1902. On the map pag.5 the streaked parts are Archæan (Granite and a little gneiss). With dotted lines is marked Algonkian (The Telemark-formation). The parts left white are Cambrian phyllite cropping out beneath a formation of gneiss and quartzite, which is supposed to be Archæan and Algonkian pushed over the Cambrian on a rather horizontal thrustplane. The sections show some details; for instance in the first section Gr. means Archæan granite, F. the Cambrian phyllite only forming a rather thin bed, Gr. is precambrian gneiss to be pushed over it. All granite in this part over Norway has mostly been taken as erupted previous to the Cambrian, but the author has found that some of the granite is younger protruding through the phyllite and altering it at the contact.
