dc.description.abstract | A combined method for determination of clast roundness based on a visual estimation method and the newly defined parameter crushing, provides good and quite detailed information on the total roundness of a collection of particles. Tests of operator bias and stability have been carried out to investigate the reliability of this method. The analysing time and the information value associated with the method have also been taken into consideration in this study. A set of reference samples and a control sample set are included for further use. This will make it possible to determine the size of the operator bias, and to keep this as small as possible. | |
