dc.description.abstract | Forkortet: In the first part of this paper the author describes the solid rocks, beginning with the East. Near the Russian frontier is the Varanger fiord (map.p.26). From the country south of this fiord only stray observations exist. On the northern side are sandstone mountains (illustration p. 23) with bedding in part more or less horizontal; generally, however, the strata is dislocated, as shown by section along the eastern shore on the Tana fiord. Between the Archaean and the younger strata faulting is perhaps the general rule. The small sketch-map p.27 is from a place where this may be clearly seen. | |
