Sammendrag
In a previous note the author (Per Holmsen 1956, pp.- 65-72) has pointed out that the Eocambrian tillite occurs conformably below the basal beds of the \"Hyolithus-zone\" (lower Cambrian). During the summer1955 the \"Hyolithus-zone\" was investigated westward to Sallejokka (locality 7 in the mentioned note). In the summer 1956 the work was continued further to the West, the tillite in bulljovagge L(N. of Caskias mountain) being found to rest an older Eocambrian beds. These beds consits of arkose, the visible thickness being 2,5 meters (8 feet), the actual thickness probably more. The total thickness of the Eocambrian strata, including the tillite, is at least 5,5 meters, probably considerably more.
