The Joma pyrite occurence contains some 15 million tons ore and crops out mostly under bogs with maximum ore zonewidth of 40 m. The surrounding morainic deposits have been investigated for ore boulders, in order to find the possible transport direction(s) of the Pleistocene glaciers. The observed ore boulders, plotted in Fig. 1, show a marked transposrt from east to west. A younger transport direction parallel to the Swedish border has produced a southern concentration of ore erratics.
