Forkortet: Appendix, by Dr. Reusch. At the Southern border of the coal field one finds, that the Jurassic deposits are separated from the Archæan by faultlines. Studies of the rocks both in the solid parts and in the loose material do not give hope of finding other deposits of the Jurassic outside those already known. The figure on p.34 shows how sand with fragments of shells and litho- tamnia recently may be cemented into cakes (40 cm. thick) on the strand laid barc by low tide.
