dc.description.abstractNGU, Norsk Hydro ASA, the University of Bergen and Sogn and Fjordane Collegecollaborate on a project aiming to identify regional slide\/mass-movement eventsand to interpret triggering factors for such slides (Regional landslide occur-rences and possible post-glacial earthquake activity in northwest WesternNorway)Evidence for such slides have been searched for in five lakes in Nordfjord andSunnmøre by penetration echosounding profiling and bathymetric mapping. Fromthese lakes, 26 sediment cores, with a combines length of 70 m, have beensamples with a modified 110 mm Livingstone piston corer.This field report (Phase B2) gives a summary of the sediment sampling,including the geographical location of the cores and their stratigraphicallocation compared to the echosounding profiles.
