In co-operation with Bremanger District Council, NGU has located areas where the natural conditions are appropriate for establishing a large coastal aggregate quarry. Samples of Devonian sandstone have also been collected in the Nesbø, Kjelkenes, Svelgen and Hjellen areas. The trondhjemite resources are only mentioned in the discussion and conclusion sections. The project forms of the mapping of areas for large coastal aggregate quarries being carried out throughout the country between the counties of Vest-Agder and Troms, inclusive.
